Scott Salmirs

Scott Salmirs is President and Chief Executive Officer at ABM, one of the world’s largest facility services and solutions providers

A values-guided leader, Scott has served as CEO since 2015, leading multiple enterprise-wide transformations to drive long-term growth and elevate the experience and value ABM delivers to stakeholders, while developing ABM’s inclusive, people-centered culture. Under Scott’s leadership, ABM has grown revenue from $4.9B to $8.1B, and more than doubled adjusted EBITDA while increasing margins by more than 60 percent.

For more than a decade prior, he served in executive management roles with increasing responsibilities that included strategic oversight of ABM’s rapidly growing international and aviation business, as well as regional leader for the U.S. Northeast where he tripled revenues and increased the client retention rate to 96 percent. Prior to ABM, Scott held leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and CBRE, where he managed each company’s extensive owned, managed and leased real estate portfolios.

With his commitment to giving back to the services industry and his community, Scott serves on several committees and philanthropic boards, including the Cleaning Coalition of America and the State University of New York College at Oneonta’s Business Advisory Council. In addition to serving on ABM’s Board of Directors, Scott serves on the Board of ICF International, Inc., a leading global consulting and digital services provider. He also is on the Board of the Outreach Project, an organization dedicated to rehabilitating young adults with substance abuse problems, is a founding board member of Donate Eight, a non-profit organization committed to increasing organ donation awareness, and is on the Board of the Partnership for NYC. Scott has also been recognized as one of the Empower Top 10 Advocates creating a more diverse and inclusive business environment.

Scott received his bachelor’s degree in in business economics from the State University of New York College at Oneonta, and an MBA in finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Rene Jacobsen

Rene Jacobsen

As Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Rene is responsible for the overall operational performance and profitability of all ABM industry groups, which includes Aviation, Business & Industry (B&I), Education, Technology & Manufacturing, and Technical Solutions segments. Furthermore, he has over the years been an instrumental leader of ABM’s business transformation and service delivery model. Rene joined ABM in 2012 as Executive Vice President of ABM’s West Region and within three years was promoted to President of B&I, the largest operating segment within ABM, representing approximately half of the company’s total revenue. He subsequently assumed control as Chief Facilities Services Officer of all industry groups, excluding Technical Solution.




Rene is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in leading large, complex service organizations within the facility services and integrated facilities management industries across Europe and North America. He has a master’s degree in Economics from the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Earl Ellis, CPA

As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Earl Ellis is responsible for planning, implementation, management and control of all financial-related activities for ABM. He oversees the accounting and financial reporting functions with a focus on effectively operating the company’s cost control systems, in accordance with GAAP, and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures.

Earl is a seasoned finance executive, who joined ABM from Best Buy Co., where he held several executive positions across finance, including Chief Financial Officer of Best Buy Canada and Senior Vice President of Finance in the U.S. Prior to Best Buy, Earl had executive leadership positions at several other public companies, including Canadian Tire and Campbell Soup Company. Earl serves on the board of Xylem Inc. (NYSE: XYL), a global leader in water technology. Earl has a bachelor’s degree in Management Economics from the University of Guelph.

Raúl Valentin

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Raúl Valentín leads ABM’s global human resources operations, communications and corporate citizenship including diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and philanthropy.

Raúl joined ABM in 2019 and serves as the people leader and advocate for our more than 100,000 dedicated team members across the US and the UK. Raúl is dedicated to cultivating a stronger ABM community by growing and developing our people and fostering an inclusive culture where everyone is seen, heard, and valued.

With more than 30 years of human resources and management experience, Raúl has held key HR leadership roles at Coty, Comcast, and Frito-Lay. Raúl serves on the board of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE: PWR), a leading provider of comprehensive infrastructure solutions for the electric and gas utility, renewable energy, communications, pipeline and energy industries in the United States.

Raúl earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania.

Andrea Newborn

Andrea is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Communication Leader for ABM, providing oversight on all legal, compliance, and governance affairs as well as risk and safety matters. She acts as legal advisor to the board of the directors and executive management, leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives while advising on all major business activities.




Andrea brings more than three decades of experience working in senior leadership roles that include both public and privately held companies. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for TravelClick, Inc., a business-to-business global provider of data and cloud-based solutions to the hospitality industry. Previously, she was General Counsel for The Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. Andrea is a graduate of Columbia Law School and Brown University.

Josh Feinberg

Josh Feinberg

Josh Feinberg is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer of ABM. He is responsible for all strategy and transformation for the company, including strategy and innovation, transformation management, and operational excellence with a focus on driving long-term profitable growth.




Prior to joining ABM, Josh was a Managing Director and Partner with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) on their North American Leadership Team. Throughout his 12 years with BCG, he worked with over 30 service companies across all business aspects including strategy, revenue management, operating model optimization, organizational effectiveness, performance improvement, and M&A / integration. Prior to BCG, Josh co-founded a healthcare services firm. Josh holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sean Mahoney

Sean Mahoney is Executive Vice President and President of Sales and Marketing for ABM. He joined ABM as part of the 2020 Vision to lead the sales and growth strategy across ABM’s Enterprise Industry Groups including Aviation, Business & Industry, Education, Healthcare, Technology & Manufacturing, and Technical Solutions. Sean and his team are focused on expanding our market share and delivering integrated service solutions to increase customer value impact.




Prior to joining ABM, Sean was VP of Sales for the Americas with Honeywell Building Solutions. He is a market leader with more than 20 years of sales leadership and general management experience in the facilities management industry. Sean is a graduate of San Diego State University and has completed Executive Leadership Programs at Georgia Tech and the University of Chicago.

Dean Chin

Dean is the Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller and Treasurer for ABM. Dean is responsible for planning, implementation, management and control of all financial-related activities for ABM. He oversees the accounting and financial reporting functions with a focus on effectively operating the company’s cost control systems, in accordance with GAAP, and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures.




Before joining ABM in 2008 as Vice President and Assistant Controller, he was Director of Finance for Reader’s Digest Association. He also served as Senior Manager, Audit and Business Advisory Services for Ernst & Young. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Valerie Burd

A seasoned industry executive, Valerie Burd leads ABM’s Business & Industry segment across North America, the largest industry group in the company’s portfolio. With over 20 years’ experience at ABM, Valerie leads the growth, operations, and client experience across a vast and growing commercial real estate client base, including office, residential, hospitality, health care, sports and entertainment.

Most recently serving as President of Education, throughout her ABM career, Valerie has delivered profitable and strategic business growth through a focus on the client experience, process management, service delivery and people development. She has also previously led the Business & Industry Strategic Accounts Group, as well as served as Regional Vice President of the B&I Northeast region, managing an expansive footprint extending from Manhattan to Maine.

Before joining ABM, Valerie held roles with Tishman Speyer Properties, Jones Lang LaSalle and CBRE. She also has served on the Board of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association.

Valerie graduated from Galway Regional Technical University in Ireland.

Mark Hawkinson

Mark Hawkinson is President of the Technical Solutions Group, which is a key part of driving organic growth for ABM and profitability for the entire company. From ensuring equipment reliability to providing preventative maintenance and generating guaranteed energy savings, Technical Solutions team members are helping clients by delivering the essential and mission critical services needed to protect facilities. Mark started his ABM career more than 18 years ago as an intern. As he took on increasingly strategic leadership roles in Sales and Operations over the years, Mark successfully helped grow the Business & Industry group. He is a graduate of North Central College with a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish.
